Everglades End of Fall Fishing Report

Well, Fall is coming to a close soon, that usually means that Winter fishing and seasonal customers will be arriving soon. I wish I could talk more of them into coming down during the Fall so they could experience the magic of great fishing and nearly no boat traffic. Summer and Fall fishing is clearly better in my opinion. Tarpon, big Snook and loads of nice Redfish seem to be in many places. Late Fall and Winter they move for sure and then you have to go and find them. That’s not to say that Winter time fishing isn’t good, it can be great, but you do have to work for it.

I added a new boat to the fleet back at the end of May, a Chittum 18 Mangrove. It is really a fantastic skiff. It does everything very well, runs good in a chop, floats super shallow and poles like a dream. And there’s plenty of room to move around on and it doesn’t move around under your feet like the Dolphin. I foresee lots of great fishing days to come!!!
