From Everglades Tarpon Season to Permit, Bonefish, Redfish, and Bass Adventures

Summer is in full swing! Tarpon season couldn’t have ended any sooner… The season wasn’t great and it seemed like the fish were gone before they should have been, so I was ready to put them behind me and start fishing for Snook again. June and July were pretty good. I went to Turneffe Flats Lodge on a hosted trip the last several days of June/first few days of July. We had a pretty successful trip catching Bonefish, a pile of Permit and a few Tarpon. I even went out one day and caught some Snook. That trip was followed by a 3 week trip to Texas where I was able to fish several days, one day down in Rockport, for Redfish, and 2 days up in North Texas on the Brazos River, for Largemouth Bass. All of those trips were great! It was the first time I had ever been on the Brazos up there and was pleasantly surprised. We went with JD Roberts with Finstincts. Go on Instagram and check his operation out. So I’m back in Florida now and right back to work!
