Everglades Backcountry Report Feb. 23,2019 Spin fishing for snook

Today I had Tom O. from St. Louis. We started on the outside looking for Redfish, found a few but did not catch any. The wind picked up and the water was muddy so we moved to the backcountry. Lots of Snook, mostly small but did manage one nice one, lost another that was bigger and a few that were decent. Probably caught 20-25 Snook. We might could have caught a few more but we were experimenting, throwing a Pop-R, didn’t seem to catch as many as expected. The big one did come on the Pop-R but most came on jigs and Zoom Super Flukes. Great day of fishing, and catching.
