Everglades Fishing Report by Capt. Wright Taylor
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted, but that doesn’t mean it’s been slow. Actually, it’s been the opposite. This year has been crazy busy. I guess it has mostly to do with the Covid and people not being able to go outside the country, so they go to the beach places that are here in the USA. Marco Island being of course one of those places.
Back in August, I had Matt and his buddy, from Texas, come over to do a little fishing. Matt’s been here before so he was fired up for some Snook and Baby Tarpon. We caught quite a few over the two day trip. We used almost exclusively the ZMan 3” MinnowZ. I love the Pearl color, but there is also a couple of baits that have some Chartreuse mixed into them that work really well. If you haven’t tried them yet, go get a bag and check them out. They are a little bit of a pain to rig, but once rigged, you can catch literally dozens of fish on the same bait. If you have any trouble with the rigging, call me and I’ll help walk you through it.
